Why Do I Need a Marketing Plan?
Marketing plans are the roadmap to success for your school. They keep you on track so you can navigate your way throughout the year.
To increase School Enrollment we have to plan towards it and involve every stakeholder of the school.
So it starts with you as a school leader
First, we will be looking at SWOT Analysis of your school.
You do a SWOT analysis of your school because…
It highlights and expands strengths. It minimizes or even erases weaknesses. It allows the creation of opportunities. And it identifies threats to prevent blow ups.
It’s a framework to understand the present and future situation of your school. And all it takes to complete is time.
SWOT stands for:
Strength
weakness
Opportunities
Threats
A swot analysis is a valuable tool for school leaders because it helps you to understand the nature of your school.
SWOT analysis is a guideline to understanding the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats relevant to your school
It helps you see:
Which areas need developing?
Which areas are thriving? Which areas are stagnant?
And which areas could ruin everything?
To understand your school’s competitive advantage and minimize instability,
I am going to teach you how to do a SWOT analysis of your school.
Strengths: What’s going right for the school
The things your school do well
Resources you have
Staff skills
Services you provide
Weaknesses: What’s holding the school back
Seeking out weaknesses can be tricky. Sometimes we try to minimize the effect of weaknesses because they can’t be seen
But weaknesses aren’t to be ashamed of.
To build a strong school, weaknesses must be acknowledged.
Weaknesses are Gaps in skills, lack of certain resources, low demand for services etc
There’s also a good thing about weaknesses; it helps to create opportunities
Opportunities: The positive changes needed for your school
SWOT analysis helps us to identify opportunities to benefit the school. And we also have the ability to create opportunity, especially when we have identified weaknesses
Threats: Where weaknesses develop for your school
Threats aren’t weaknesses.
Weaknesses already exist and must be dealt with.
Let’s look at some threats:
Threats might lead to complications… but they might not.
We acknowledge threats to be able to create a better plan. Because if we don’t understand the threat, it can’t be dealt with accordingly.
For example :New development of School around you is a threat but not weakness
Threats are to be on your radar at all times.
If you can create a plan of action to address these threats, then it can be eradicated.
